What is ‘Caramel Toffee‘?
We found that some people assume that ‘toffee’ is rock hard, but that’s not the kind of toffee we make! Like the chewy toffees Mackintosh created a hundred plus years ago, combining recipes for caramels and toffees, and creating a toffee that was ‘Not too hard, and not too soft‘. For a while he marketed his softer, chewier toffees as ‘Caramel Toffee’, and we think that perfectly describes our toffees too!
