What is ‘Caramel Toffee‘?
It’s ‘Not too hard, and not too soft‘
We’ve found that some people assume that ‘toffee’ is rock hard, like a ‘Butterscotch’, but that’s not the kind of toffee we make! Our toffee is firm, but quickly softens for a mouthwatering chew, like the chewy toffees Mackintosh (Rowntree’s) created a hundred plus years ago, combining recipes for caramels and toffees, and creating a toffee that was ‘Not too hard, and not too soft‘. For a while Mackintosh marketed their softer, chewier toffees as ‘Caramel Toffee’, and we think that perfectly describes our toffees too!

Bought this for my husband as it reminded him of childhood and it did not disappoint! Lesley also very kindly added an extra bar because the shelf life was slightly shorter than advertised.
